The professional basketball team Seoul SK found an agreement with forward Ahn Young-joon, who had been at odds over wage negotiations.
SK announced on the 9th that it signed a contract with Ahn Young-joon for a total remuneration of 500 million won (380 million won per year + 120 million won in incentives).
SK and Ahn Young-joon failed to reach an annual salary agreement by the deadline for registration of players for the 2024-2025 season on June 28 and applied for a remuneration adjustment to the KBL.
However, SK succeeded in narrowing differences by contacting Ahn Young-joon two more times while KBL's holding of the fiscal committee was delayed due to the election of Lee Soo-kwang as president.
"The club has taken a step back from its existing position in incentives," an SK official said on the phone with a reporter. "It is positive in that we were able to reach an agreement with the player without going through the financial committee."
